Wasim Said is the author of Witness to the Hellfire of Genocide: A Testimony from Gaza, published in October 2025 by 1804 Books in collaboration with Liberated Texts and the People’s Center for Palestine. Written from Gaza after multiple displacements from his home in Beit Hanoun, the book offers a firsthand account of the genocide through collective testimony.

Wasim, who remains in Gaza, has recently launched a collective fundraiser for a group of families. He writes: “The idea of the campaign is simple and clear: Donations are collected monthly and then distributed fairly among a group of families, according to the amount raised each month. Each family receives a fixed monthly amount that covers its basic needs, allowing them to survive in this brutal reality with dignity—without being forced to stand before cameras or beg for help in ways that wound their humanity.”
